Annual Fund Drive

The YWCA of Butler is conducting its annual fund drive. We would like you to consider a donation to its Endowment for Free Care. Money earned from this endowment offsets the free care given to the frail, limited income elderly, living in the YWCA Personal Care Residence. In 2009, 62% of the occupants resided for less than the daily unit cost of care per patient. At the conclusion of the year, the YWCA provided $49,896 in free care. This care is possible due to the generosity of community individuals.

However, the YWCA needs help to continue this needed service. Like all nonprofit agencies, the YWCA expects to have financial difficulties in 2010. Food and utility bills are "sky rocketing". Most of our residents are on limited, fixed incomes and cannot accommodate a hike in fees for care. This means the increase in expenses cannot be passed on to our customers.

Please help the YW to help our community elderly have quality of life by living in an affordable environment that offers 24-hour assisted care. In today's socciety, cost containment in specialized care is essential. Thank you for consideration.
